An Effort to create Leader!

There have been many times I tried to make my children leader, who can decide for themselves, think analytically and critically. But from this day I want to document it in written and thus I am committing myself that I will be writing a diary where i would write about efforts, effort of my children, of myself and of involved persons when I feel it is important to share.

First formal classes after earthquake and its massive impact on lives of thousands. I did not expect them to be ready for resuming the course the very day so I planned for something that will instigate their thrust to study. This was something that Swastika Di taught me while training and I felt is it really necessary? I did not know its utiliczation but for the fact that I had to submit I did. And after two years of fellowship experience, I realized its need though I barely reviewed it once I completed it preparing at the beginning of the session. It is yearly plan for completion of my course. It is backward planning to cover up the curriculum by the end of the session.

This year's circumstances are different from the previous ones due to earthquake, I needed to motivate my students and also need to make them realize that we are short of two months in a year of session. I felt this was the best activity that would make my students realize that we have less time, more things to achieve and a lot more effort that we collaborately needed to do. I wanted to make them realize understanding a topic, scoring good marks and having a better result is not only the responsibility of teachers but it is equally or more  responsibility of each student as well. Therefore, I asked them to prepare the yearly plan for this year in groups identifying different contraints and circumstances.

I was glad to see my students responsibly handling the given task so well that they even listed the name of topics they wanted to study each month including days to accomplish it consulting the book in detail. The consciousness in them about the time being less and the realization that they need to work hard and if needed they were ready to study in public holidays including Saturday made me feel now I don't need to worry about them.
